9UP - The Task
In the 9 Urban Project (9UP) you will work in small groups to develop
an investigation into a social aspect of contemporary Melbourne life. To achieve this you will engage in a City
Scavenger Hunt and various other activities within the city centre, helping you
gain knowledge of the city, and confidence in your navigation of the city. You will then be required to focus on an area
of interest in order to develop a research hypothesis that can be investigated. You will then visit the city to collect
primary data in the form of surveys, observations and interviews, and present
the results of your investigation using ICT to an audience of parents, teachers
and peers. You will develop your
communication, collaboration, research, thinking and design skills through
involvement in this module.
