TV Advertisement

The TV advertisement is a short, 30 second piece of television that reinforces your message. It can educate, entertain, inform or scare.

Whatever your advertisement does, you must engage your audience with relevant and accurate information while ensuring your message is understood and the viewer is left with an understanding of your issue.




To get all this into just 30 seconds is a challenge. To create your advertisement, you will need to write a detailed script and sketch out a story board. Planning is the key!

Things to consider:
  • What is the best way to get your message across? - scare campaign? humour? plain facts?
  • How will the information be presented? - will someone just be talking to the camera (not necessarily recommended)? will you use images? animation?
  • How will you integrate it into your wider message?
